Dominique has a passion for helping others feel relaxed and at ease.  She recognizes the need for rejuvenation and integration so that the state of balance, harmony and sustained joy is prevalent in one’s life.  The ancient practice of yoga and meditation are some of the great avenues to live a healthier, happier and more fulfilled life.  Whether you are looking to decompress from a busy day, build strength and stamina in the body or enhance the clarity of the mind; a well designed yoga practice can be a wonderful contribution to  your overall health and well-being.

For the pregnant mamas Dominique offers HypnoBirthing classes based on the Mongan Method. She believes that anyone can have a relaxing and calm birthing experience with the right support and preparation. Dominique has had two very beautiful, empowering and calm hypnobirths.  She is dedicated to bringing knowledge and support to women who also desire to have a positive, fearless and joyful labour and birth.

Dominique has been teaching yoga for the past 8 years and loves to share the benefits it brings with others.  She has completed her Yoga Teacher Training at the Yoga Center of Burlington in 2008 and is also a certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher.  Her classes are a delightful combination of Hatha Yoga gentle flow with restorative aspects to stimulate the mind, body and spirit.

Holistic Yoga Classes

As a Registered Yoga Teacher for many years, I have found that people love the physical benefits of yoga but are also looking for deeper connection to energy and spirit.  While group classes are fun to attend on some days, other days we may require more nurturing environment where we can safely explore and cultivate a sustainable and conscious yoga practice unique to our needs that day.
I am excited to now offer the Holistic Yoga Classes in a private or semi-private sessions.  Before the session begins I ask the client to set an intention for their yoga practice.  I have no set format or sequence for the yoga class as no two yoga sessions are the same.  It solely depends on the individual and what is required in that moment.  As the yoga session unfolds I incorporate yoga postures that are linked in a gentle flow style or we may hold postures for a length of time if that is the intention.  I also love to include restorative yoga postures as they help to reach a deeper state of relaxation and encourage personal insights or imagery.  A guided meditation may be added to help release any blockages and patterns that may be sabotaging your success and well-being in life.
I draw on my training in the Iyengar and Restorative tradition as well as my own intuitive style and combine it with the knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology to support your dream and your vision for the joyful and healthy life you have been wanting to live for so long.  When we work together we can restore your connection to your personal strength and power so that you can truly live your phenomenal life with total ease and joy.
